Diamond Eyes – New Deftones Masterpiece

Three years after the release of Saturday Night Wrist, the band was suppose to release an album called “Eros” but all these changed when their bassist, Chi Cheng was involved in a devastating car accident in November of 2008. He suffered from serious head injuries and was left in a coma, up until now, he is still slightly conscious but reports say that he would definitely survive it. So the band decided to put everything aside and start up from scratch because they feel that was the right thing to do. Who would have thought that they would come up with an album so good that it was dubbed as their greatest album. Diamond Eyes has everything new and old fans ask for; from the atmospheric and trudging aura of songs to the grinding guitars and pounding drumbeats that rocks the place like it was 1998 all over again. Add up Chino Moreno (the band’s front man) physical appearance that had him looking like he was 20 again (back in the adrenaline days), everything was an epic package. Fans all over the world wasn’t disappointed at all, matter of fact, it exceed the expectations of many. Diamond Eyes is made up of 11 tracks all of which are certified gems, but my personal favorites are rocket skates, diamond eyes, sextape and CMND/CTRL. Buy the album and get your backpacks, pens and pencil coz we’re definitely going back to Deftones School.
